Funded! Stephen Molan awarded Lamington Natural History Association Bursary!

Congratulations to Honours student Stephen Molan who was recently awarded $1000 by the Lamington Natural History Association in 2021.

Stephens project is titled: "Surveying threatened tusked frog (Adelotus brevis) populations and frog communities in a sub-tropical urban-rural matrix". The funding will be used to cover cost-of-living expenses throughout the study period.

The project will use audio recordings to detect the presence of tusked frogs (Adelotus brevis) within the Brisbane city council area, and see whether these frogs can be an indicator of urban wetland health. Three additional sites at Lamington National Park will be surveyed as control sites.

Stephen hopes that his findings will be able to influence wetland management approaches within Brisbane.
