Funded! Thais is awarded the Wildlife Disease Association - Australasia grant!

Congratulations to our PhD student Thais Sasso Lopes for being awarded the WDA-A research award 2020 ($2000) for her project ‘Exploring the role of skin microbiota of the endangered Mixophyes fleayi as a potential defense against Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis’. She plans to use the grant to cover laboratory analysis to investigate the protective role of the microbiome on the skin of Mixophyes fleayi against diseases.
